Why have I forgotten all my snowboard lingo?
My Mister took our 5-year-old snowboarding last week. We rented the board the night before, and the 5-year-old spent all evening and the next morning strapped into his boots "practicing".
He did really well. Less than halfway down the mountain on their first time down, the 5-year-old said to his dad, "let go, I can do it myself!"

I am waiting patiently for the day I can take him to Sportsman's Warehouse and have him pick out his first rifle and take him to Hunter Safety Class and then with his dad we go hunting!
I am very impressed.
I tried snowboarding once. It was very difficult and painful. At least when I play football I won't be falling down a mountain with my feet tied together.

It is a good thing your feet will not be tied together because you probably will be falling down a lot and banging your head on each side of your helmet.
