Ha! I love it! I am in dire need of a "milk" table or large ottoman, which may avoid a similar conversation. Although, they may be like Wayne and think it's an "auto-man." Which opens a whole different topic of homophones.
Sometimes when we read Chronicles of Narnia I use the word "juice" instead of "wine" because of this very problem. It doesn't help that the scriptures say wine. I'm also unsure of the word "rootbeer."
Then there is my favorite, Ginger Ale. That can be one nippy drink, especially if it is Jamaican style. Let's see... A is 4. I think I first thought about the "coffee table" conundrum at about age 10. Kids are really smart (able to think) early these days.
Jesse calls it a hot chocolate table. I thought he was the only one did this until I helped my little bro move and someone said "Where do you want the hot chocolate table?" Good to know what to look forward to with my little guy.

Although that is one huge difference between there and here - all the teachers here proudly keep their coffee mug filled and on their desk!
But probably not in primary. :)
School teachers here just keep diet coke on their desks.
