Progress

This morning my three-year-old ran in to the living room and said "I want to poop on the potty" I was so excited, usually he just wants to wash his hands. We ran to the bathroom where I noticed the smell.

He had just pooped in his diaper. Bummer. At least he's starting to make a connection. He knows he gets a treat if he does something on the toilet, so he'd climb down, look in the toilet and climb up again.

It's progress.

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one with a 3 year old who isn't potty trained. :)

We're waiting until it warms up, it's easier to potty train if they can run around naked.

(plus he just barely turned three)

nI think a generation ago we got the babes trained a bit younger, and I think the reason they take longer now is that the disposable diapers are much better and being wet is not as uncomfortable. But my last was not trained until he was 3 1/2 either.

My three year old (girl) was a bit slower to train than my now 12 year old -- not sure why. She's got it under control now, but it's funny because she's so proud of making poops in the potty that she wants us all to come look at what she made . . .everytime . . .
