Things that make you think it will all work out.

We've had a difficult time adjusting to having J home during the day. It feels a little bit like he is always in trouble, and I have been wondering if I need to let some things go, or keep doing what I'm doing in hopes that eventually he'll start listening and obeying. It's nice to know that even though they argue and yell and sometimes even hit each other, that they still love each other. (at least during cartoon time)

Awww! I love this pic! We're having the same adjustment issues at our house. Ah, summer. It seemed so much more fun as a kid!

I think we have this problem too. And Kade was only gone for a couple of hours, four times a week. But I think he's missing his friends and Maura's missing her space. I'm missing my sanity.

It's like Lord of the Flies at our house. I've stopped thinking about thriving - now we're on survival mode.

Okay, I am exaggerating, but I know what you mean.

And, I think you're doing great!

Trust me in 20 or 30 years it will be all over with and your lives will return to those days when you were first married, in the honeymoon days, before the kids came along. Then you will be blessed with grandchildren for enduring all of this. Life only gets better and sweetens through the years in spite of challenges and the occasional rough patch. Until then enjoy the experiences. They will too soon become dim memories.

Take lots of photos also.
