These are the things I took out of A's backpack. He was having a rough day and said, "mom, sometimes I feel like running away". He was even packed and ready to go. I'm glad to see he had clean socks and underwear, along with a couple of notepads and a pen- he likes to make lists of things he does or sees. He also packed a bingo card from a Mario Bros birthday party he attended recently, and a tile that he was given by the primary leaders in our last ward. He's such a sweet kid. Instead of him running away, we've been having snuggle time.

Aw:) I love those snuggle times! It's nice that our kids are still young enough that mommy snuggles make everything better!
Aw, that picture is so cute! I packed to run away once: canned food, a full roll of paper towels, a $20 bill (birthday money) to take to the store for more supplies. I started on my way, for some reason not wearing shoes. Perhaps I thought that was the proper (non)footwear for a street urchin?
Hmmm...isn't he about 6? Seems to be a magic age for urges to fly the coop. I'm glad you intercepted him early. I made it all the way to the old 7-Eleven parking lot before I got intercepted. I probably would have made it all the way to CJH if I hadn't stopped at Grandma's for breakfast, but you can't run away without breakfast! Priorities.
