A White House Garden

Thanks Q for sending me this link...

"The 1,100 square foot garden will include 55 kinds of vegetables, including peppers, spinach, and, yes, arugula. (The list of vegetables is a wishlist put together by White House chefs.) There will also be berries, herbs and two hives for honey that will be tended by a White House carpenter who is also a beekeeper. The chefs will use the produce to feed the first family and for state dinners and other official events."

About Me

Alice
Utah, United States
I'm a mom, a wife, a grad student, a blogger, a gardener, and a cake baker. I recently moved back to the community in which I, my father, my grandmother and beyond, were raised, where the stories of my childhood were born. I look up at the mountains and I think of all those who came before me who loved those same mountains. I feel the dirt between my fingers and think of the generations who tilled the same earth. I’ve moved home, to reclaim my ancestors, the pioneers who sacrificed so much and left me with even more.
