I love it. Ever since our class last night, I've been trying to figure out how to hang silks from the ceiling in my house. We decided that we need a barn.
Note... This picture is not me, and I didn't do anything that interesting, but it gives you an idea of what I'm doing. It didn't seem all that difficult, exercise-wise, except that I could tell my hands were going to be sore, but by the time class was over, I was out of breath and felt like I'd had a pretty good work out.
Ooh, how cool! When I used to work at the gym, there was an aerial artist who would practice in the gymnastics room. Amazing! She taught private lessons, but I never was brave enough to try. Where do they offer this class?
ReplyDeleteOh WOW! I am so jealous! That class sounds like so much fun - how did you find it? You totally have to post pics of you doing it when you start doing stuff:) SO COOL!
ReplyDeleteYou, my friend, are going to have abs of steel. Try to find a way to post a video of your final exam.
ReplyDeleteThe class is held in a little dance studio in sugar house. It's called The Sugar Space.
ReplyDeleteI would never have known something like this existed, except my sister somehow knew the instructor, and rounded up enough of us for a private class.
Yes - that does sound totally awesome. Do you have to take a pre-test to join? Like being able to do hand-stand push-ups or looking really stunning in a leotard?
ReplyDeleteThat is freakin' AWESOME.
ReplyDeleteI bet I looked really stunning in a leotard when I was 7 (when it was "socially acceptable" to be flat chested), plus I could do hand stand push ups then too.
